About Kathleen Pecic

Ms. Pecic teaches 7th-grade social studies and is the 7th-grade team leader. She holds a B.S. in agronomy from Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pa., and an M.A. in reading/curriculum and instruction from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. For 20 years Ms. Pecic taught kindergarten, fourth and fifth grades, and Title I Reading in the mountains of Virginia. She started out as a specialist at Oglethorpe, then moved to 7th grade social studies last year. She and her husband share their home with two dogs and four cats. Her hobbies include reading (especially historical fiction), gardening, quilting, and astronomy.
